Our first full day in Duradanda dawned bright accompanied with early morning yoga in the field on the edge of town. Looks beautiful and it was. There was even more incentive than ever to hold your pose. The goat droppings all over the ground.
This was one of my very favorite things in the village... maybe in Nepal. A homemade Ferris wheel. It was amazing! Notice the foot power to keep us moving. There were some kids on it and I went to go help them get it going and the locals put me on instead. And they kept going... and going... and going... and going. Lauren finally lost a chunk of hair when it got wrapped around the log she had her head in front of. Luckily, we were in Nepal during Devali festival. They have the wheel up year-round but the seats are only on during festival time.
This was one of the adorable little school girls in the village who would come and visit us up at our "house". All the kids had blue skirts or pants and white shirts and all the girls had adorable red bows in their hair. I wanted to bring one home with me!
