This was a very cool, and maybe a time or two somewhat stinky, tour of the Paris sewers. You might ask yourself why we would subject ourselves to this. And the answer is.... because it was seriously cool. There are a number of books that write about the Paris sewers - Les Miserables for one. So, we made sure we got down there and took our sewer tour while we could. We actually walked through parts of the old sewer system that they still used. Of course since the tours were all in French, they gave us a brochure in English and we took a self guided tour. There were, however, no sewer rats seen on this trip, except for the stuffed ones in the gift shop at the end. We debated taking one home for Lisa but didn't think she'd appreciate it as much as we did.

Thanks for thinking of me while you were on your trip but passing up on the rat. I didn't have time to tour this part of Paris last time I was there but it looks like fun.
