-6 going on 66

Hallelujah, I believe the weather has finally changed! Last Wednesday it was -6 degrees driving to work. Yesterday it was over 65 as I left work. The last vestiges of snow are finally melting and I'm hoping the green will start to appear soon. Funny that Saturday I was out walking on the middle of a huge (frozen) lake with a friend chatting it up with snow kiters (you'll have to look that one up, but it is very cool. I think I got a picture of it.) I may be optimistic, but I'm also a realist. I'm sure it will snow at least a few more times but hopefully the negative temperatures will hold out till next January. I'm just excited to go outside again without having to cover every inch of exposed skin to avoid frostbite. I even went running outside last night after work instead of running on the treadmill. I'm soooo ready for spring!
