Fortunately for me, I have a friend here who apparently knows and does everything. Seriously. (I'm not joking Carrie). Her roommate even told me Monday night that some people SAY they can do lots of things but Carrie really CAN do pretty much everything, and is good at it. So, Carrie, in her graciousness, taught Kati and me how to decorate cookies that I eventually (like 8 hours later) gave out at Jen's bridal shower as party favors. I wouldn't have been able to do it by myself, seriously. Carrie, Kati & I worked till after midnight on the cookies (we spent the night in WI at an amazing dive of a cafe eating fish fry, chicken fried steak, and deep fried cheese curds) and then they spent the night on my couch and helped me in the morning too! A girl can't ask for better friends.
Carrie is pretty much amazing. Not just her skills but she also didn't tell us (Kati and I) that we were screwing up her masterpieces with our sub-par frosting skills. However, we did get some practice time on saran wrap before we got to touch a cookie. Here was our final result - a cookie reincarnation of the bridal Jen, complete with a tiara/veil and red rose bouquet. Amazing!
*Special thanks to Carrie for the picture, even though she didn't tell me I could swipe it from her blog, I did anyway
