With Liberty and Tinted Windows for All

Yesterday, with admittedly a little fear and trepidation, I made my way to the city building in Minnetonka to meet with a Hearing Officer about my tinted window ticket. I felt kind of like a criminal sitting there waiting in the lobby to meet with the guy. Finally, he came out and called my name and then raced back to the room, leaving me to walk the hall alone. This was already not looking well. Finally I got in the little room in the back. My plea? Ignorance. Well, and that I bought my car in AZ with the windows tinted from the dealer. The nice guy took away my ticket and gave me a warning instead! I need some special powers like that to just wave my hand and *poof* the ticket is gone. He did tell me to get the tinting fixed or the next ticket I'm on my own and he can't help me. He also told me that Officer Burke, the lost soul who gave me my ticket, is also on a crusade to give everyone window tinting tickets. That is dumb. Also, trucks and SUVs are exempt from this ridiculous window tinting law. If possible, that is even dumber. I think I might just need to get my politics on and go change one dumb law for the sake of humanity in Minnesota.

YAHOO for liberty and justice for all!

Must be the day for court. I went to court yesterday about my very unfair ticket and yes I was a mess by the time I got to see the judge. But the judge was nice and changed my ticket to non-moving violation (no points, no insurance increase), I can live with that.
