Engaged!

I can imagine your mixture of panic an joy when you read the title. Seriously? Natalie's finally getting married? Rest assured, I'm still here in MN and still very much single. Really I doubt that 3 dates in 8 months can make it to engagement. So, the announced engagement is my little brother, Tommy Boy (I may be the only one who calls him that but I'll probably call him that forever), to Maria Thackeray. Maria braved the family reunion/funeral in August so if she can still handle the family after that, then she deserves to be in the family. The nieces and nephews already love her, which I guess is a given since she is adorable. They would have been engaged earlier but had to have the ring custom made since her finger is a size 4. Can someone really have a finger that small? The big day is set for January 16th and we only have to make it through one reception since she is from the town next door.

So, a big congrats to Tommy Boy and Maria!
