Como Zoo and Conservatory

I've been trying to take advantage of the nice weather that we've been having lately (even though it snowed last Sunday) and get out and do things that I probably won't be able to do during the winter. There are two zoos here in Minneapolis/St. Paul, one the official Minnesota Zoo, and the other, the Como Zoo and Conservatory.

A few weeks ago, my friend Parley and I spent the morning at the Minneapolis Zoo. Although we had a fantastic time, I was more than a little disappointed in the lack of animals, especially standard zoo animals, that they had... especially for the price! $14 just to get in the door and then they make you pay $5 for parking as well!

Well, last Saturday, it was so nice out, I decided to try Como Zoo and Conservatory. They ask for donations to help run the zoo, but it is only $2/person and not required for entry. I asked my friend, Amanda, to come with her twins, Ava and Wyatt. We had so much fun seeing the animals (at least this zoo had a giraffe), going on the 1920's carousel, and walking through the conservatory. It definitely is a place that I will be back to.
