Where is the best place to live???

Not that I'm trying to brag or anything since I would have picked Oregon over this recently named location as America's Best Place to Live, but I am rather biased in my Oregon selection. However, in honor of my new residence, Plymouth, MN, (and my driver's license just came in the mail on Saturday so I am now official), it has just been named as CNN Money's best place to live in 2008.

Why, do you ask, would anywhere in MN be named a best place to live? Let's be honest, unless you looooove snow 10 months out of the year, then what else is there to compensate? I wasn't so excited about my move here either... before or after I moved... so if you are as skeptical as I was, read on.
Here's a small blurb from the article just so you can see that my move to MN wasn't so bad after all...
Population: 70,100. Topnotch schools, good jobs, affordable housing, low crime, an active outdoor culture... Ten miles from Minneapolis and 18 from St. Paul... more than 50,000 jobs in industries from professional services to education. The typical three-bedroom, two-bath house goes for $350,000. The city’s main school district is ranked among the top three in the state. Plymouth’s open-air amphitheater, the Hilde Performance Center, hosts numerous summer concerts. Residents are a quick drive from the Twin Cities’ professional sports teams and the Mall of America, the nation’s biggest mall. Plymouth boasts more than half a dozen sizable bodies of water. And with 53 parks and more than 100 miles of trails, residents can walk, bike and jog on paths that connect every neighborhood.

I've certainly enjoyed living in Oregon for the last year. The next time you come to Oregon Natalie, look me up!
