Ahhhh... my beloved Philippines! Camille sent me an email this morning with this picture of the Philippines. Of course it is the third scariest road in the world, but still my country... sort of.... more like adopted country. Before I left the Pines, I would make the locals laugh by saying "Ako ay Pilipino sa isip, sa salita, at sa gawa" (I am Filipino in though, word, and act). In honor of the Pines, I'm including the lyrics to their national anthem below. We sang this every day in the MTC so we'd know it by heart before we made it to the Pines. Check back later and I'll insert an audio clip so you know how it sounds. And maybe, just maybe, you might be lucky enough to learn it too!
