My third half-marathon, all three different courses, and I still got nearly the exact same time on all three. Apparently that is just the speed I run - really slow. I'm pretty sure no Burton was ever meant to be a professional runner. Kudos to Joe and Kari for participating in the half-marathon with me and finishing. It was HOT outside by about 9am and that was only about 3 miles into the race. And yes, silly me, I was wearing black... but I couldn't pass up wearing the Beijing Olympics t-shirt that Joe brought back from China. On my last 1/2 mile I came around the corner and walking up ahead of me on the sidewalk was my mom, my little bro Tom, and his girlfriend Maria. I made Tom run with me for part of the way :) Camille and kids, Michelle (you can see her on the left side of Joe's picture taking pictures), Matt and his kids, and Doug and family (a given since Kari was in the race) were there to cheer us on. Go Team Burton!

Go Nat!!! We've both done three now. Since we are moving up to Nebraska next month - we should find a half in the midwest to train for together!!
