In Nepal... And Still Alive
Had a moment on the computer so I thought I'd do a quick update post so all 3 of you who read this know that I'm still alive here in Nepal. Nearly 6 days down. It has gone really fast. Granted, two and a half days of that were traveling just to get to Nepal. So far, favorite thing was feeding the elephant cookies after our jungle safari ride. Least favorite thing... hmmm... close tie between being ripped off at the airport and being ripped off by this guy at a hotel in Pokarha. Oh, and getting a holy dot put on my forehead before I even knew the "holy man" was standing there and then demanding a lot of money for putting the dot on my forehead that I didn't ask for or really want. But, before this sounds like I don't like Nepal, it is amazing. We've been through Kathmandu, Chitwan, and now are in Pokarha. Tomorrow we're headed to a place that's supposed to have amazing views of the Himalayas, to a big peace pagaoda on the top of the mountain, and to a village of Tibetan monks. A few more stops along the way then we're on to the humanitarian part of the expedition.
