Ahhh... the joys of meeting people across the country while I am marooned in the frozen tundra of Minnesota. I got a message from some random guy tonight that was too good to pass up. As a disclaimer, I'm sure someone, somewhere is his cousin's, brother's, dog's, uncle's, step-child's brother who will rightly defend that he is a super nice guy. That being said, I have no clue who he is. And, I'm sure he's super nice. So, on to the message.... no kidding.... Word. For. Word. (and punctuation and spelling too)

What was the longest hike you've been on.
I have done 70 mile solo trips in Yellowstone adn Grand Teton.
Last year I had a grizzley encounter. I know it sounds worse than it was. I did see a female grizzley jus off the trail. It was incredible. In yellow stone I followed grizz tracks for about 3 miles. It scared the carp out of me.

So, in no way am I mocking or making fun of anyone. This just made me smile in more ways than one... including the carp. Bless his heart, how did he know I like fish?

It's not me but it sounds like half the stuff that I write, post/email and then say 'what the carp!?!'
Maybe he should spend less time hiking and more time learning grammar and spelling.
Truly funny.
