Crappy.... ummm... Happy

Going waaaaay back to my first year in college, I was roommates with Andrea and we celebrated Valentine's Day with a "Crappy Valentine's Day" card. The first year, Andrea, in all that is good about American/European relations, created the most fantastic Fabio card ever. EVER. And, since it couldn't be surpassed, the card was subsequently passed back and forth over the years on our Crappy V Days. I'm rather sad that I don't know where that card is because if I did, I'd make copies and send them to all my friends. My friend had a potential Fabio sighting while boarding at Snowbird the other day. I gave him a hard time about not being bold and trying to get a picture on his phone. Well, until he reminded me that it would have been rather awkward if that really wasn't Fabio. A guy taking a picture of another guy.... yep... awkward. But, how great would that have been to use an actual picture of Fabio to resurrect the idea of our Fabio V Day card? Great. I'm telling you. Greatest ever. I'm still a little sad he didn't take the picture :(.

So, with no picture of Fabio this year, I decided to create my own V Day card. I was tempted with the Transformers and Disney Princess ones in the stores, but I held out and tonight I finally put it together. One fun thing I started doing this last year was frame last names from pictures of letters from things we see every day. I can spend all day out "looking for letters." Minneapolis has provided some great new "letters."

So, I've found out that many of my friends actually LOVE V Day. Really?!? I'm still not sure why. But, I figured maybe I've never given the holiday a chance. In an attempt to go from Crappy to Happy V Day.... introducing my super special V Day card for this year. And, because Costco is all about mass production, I'll have tons. Literally. The smallest quantity I can order is way more than the people I know. So, if you are so inclined to want a card, send me your address and I'll ship one out. If you're lucky I might even personalize it with a little note and signature. If you're REALLY lucky it might even be in red ink. And that, my friends, is real love.

Roomie!!! A crappy belated Valentine's Day to you! I feel so honored to have been mentioned on your blog :)

Fabio didn't send his love this year because we were en route to California. Besides, I think he might have O.D.'ed on "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter".
