Camille (my oldest sister) suggested that I post a snow of the month picture and since that seems like it will be a reality here in Minnesota, I decided to get my April picture posted. As much as I don't like living in snow, I haven't gone crazy yet in the month I've been here. However, I thought last week for sure that spring was here. It was 60+ degrees, I was wearing a skirt and sandals, and most importantly.... NO COAT!!! Unfortunately, it didn't last long and we were graced with snow Thursday night, Friday, and even a dusting of snow on Saturday morning. Somehow I think that is WRONG, and I don't care that I happen to be in Minnesota. April is spring, not winter. Anyhow, I thought I'd head out for a walk on Saturday to capture some snow pictures. There were a few moments of sanity that saved me. I was going to walk from my apartment 1.5 miles to a regional park and walk around for most of the morning. However, I had a movie I needed to return to redbox so I decided to drive (Sane moment #1). When I got dressed I pulled a second pair of socks on just in case (sane moment #2). When I walked out the door I grabbed my gloves and a scarf (sane moment #3). I drove to the park, started to walk around, and immediately started to freeze. It was probably about 10 or 15 degrees with the windchill. I ended up only wandering around a small area for maybe 15 min. So, needless to say, my moments of sanity saved me from freezing to death here.
