Hail.... the estimate

So sad... I teach a class on blogging at Enrichment then I stop blogging! I should be a better example. I finally downloaded the pictures from my camera but still haven't put them up.

I finally got an estimate on my car from the hail damage. I should take a picture of it for posterity's sake. I mean, really, who has their car damaged from hail? Only in MN.... So, the first estimate, only $2300 in damages, not so bad. The estimate from the insurance company rep yesterday sounds worse but he didn't give me a dollar total. He did say that he thought my hood would need to be replaced. Not so good. Oh well... it's only a car. At least it is drivable, right? I have to stop myself from placing a value on getting the car fixed. I have a bad habit of placing things like this in terms of vacation costs (ie - fixing my car would have been at least 3 trips to Guatemala or two trips to Peru/Machu Picchu). I guess that is the way things work. Good thing my job pays me enough!

Just as a side note, this isn't my picture, but I thought I'd give you a good idea of the size of hail that hit my car.
